Kyriaki Karydi is a music teacher teaching guitar, piano, singing and music theory to all ages from six years to adults covering different music genres according to the student's taste.
She has 7 years experience as a music teacher both in private lesson and
class,she is a professional musician for 12 years and she is doing her
Masters Degree in Sound Arts in London College of Communication. She also
holds a full CRB check and is starting her PGCE course soon.
Kyriaki Karydi:
- Instructs students in music theory, harmony, score and sight reading, composition and music appreciation.
- Provides individual or group vocal and instrumental lessons using technical knowledge, aesthetic appreciation and teaching techniques.
- Preparing students for taking ABRSM exams.
- Communicates with children of different ages
- Adjusts her lesson plan to each student's needs and talent.
- Organises her lesson time in order to cover both the necessary practical and theory parts.
- Supports students with theory exercises taken either from trustworthy and well known music books or made by her using Sibelius 6 software.
- Supports each lesson by appropriate audio and video material to show examples of subjects of the lesson.
The practice part involves warm up exercises, rhythmical exercises,
scales and pieces from a variety of books. The theory part involves the
essential theory background needed in order to work on the practice
exercises, an extension of this knowledge supported by exercises, Solfège and Dictée.
Theory exercises are taken either from trustworthy and well known music
books or made by her using Sibelius 6 software. Finally, all lessons are
supported by audio and video material to show examples of subjects of
the lesson.
Lessons are given either at her home-based music studio or at students houses.
